In an abandoned textile factory, several female voices recite, in several languages, the same phrase by Portuguese writer Maria Gabriela Llansol: to hear the text of an empty place. The old textile machines can no longer be touched or seen, but they can still be heard. The power of sound to reconstruct unoccupied spaces leads us to experience the lives of those who worked on them.
