The film-performance Re-Cordis (2023) concretizes this encounter between cinema and language: "The idea is to use the poetics of textiles, in people and spaces, through the creation of cinematographic pieces." To do this, the artist transforms film into fabric and vice versa by superimposing montage techniques on weaving techniques, thus revealing a new crossing from the visible to the tangible. – Cátia Rodrigues, in À pala de Walsh.
The film, edited according to weaving codes, was projected at the same time as I was live weaving (following the same codes used in the film), on a low-warp loom. The images used belong to my audiovisual archive on weaving. RE-CORDIS is a revisit to those days of contemplation.
